Capturing video is the easy part; understanding it is the point. The same continuous-retention workload runs as it does today, but on GateStor's virtual memory map (VMP) — so an AI application runs inference directly against the footage in place, with no export: facial recognition, movement and anomaly detection, cross-camera correlation like spotting the same plate in two places at once. Your data science team can train new detection models from the same archive without touching the recording pipeline. On traditional IT infrastructure the video is just stored; here it's in an AI environment, turning captured footage into action.

We're finalizing the deep-dive for Surveillance on the platform. The short version: the recording workload doesn't change, the capability does. Once footage sits on the AI-addressable memory map, AI applications run inference against it in place — facial recognition, anomaly detection, cross-camera correlation — and data scientists train new detection models from the same archive without touching the recording pipeline. On traditional IT infrastructure the video is an inert store you'd have to copy elsewhere first; here captured video becomes understood video with no separate data path.
